  • # Business Platform Owner - CRMApplylocations: Carmel, INtime type: Full timeposted on: Posted 16 Days Agojob requisition id: R-010797The Business Platform Owner (BPO) is responsible for optimizing internal applications to drive valuable outcomes for the business or enterprise. The Business Platform owner will serve as a business value leader – aligning the platform to enterprise goals. The BPO will own the technical vendor relationship and leverage the vendor services to realize business objectives. In addition, this role will manage and prioritize the backlog by collaborating with the business stakeholders. The BPO is accountable to identify, create, and report metrics indicating the success of the system, using this data to provide visibility and insights to Business and IT leadership. The BPO will be a strategic partner with the business identifying and recommending innovative solutions for the business to utilize the software platform and ancillary products. This level of BPO will adeptly manage priority and expectations between intersecting systems and business units. The BPO of multiple applications will understand the technical eco system to address conflicting needs, system dependencies, and data integrity. The BPO is responsible for understanding user needs, identifying trends in user feedback, and translating the user's feedback into software functions and features that delight our customers/ users. This role will use strong leadership skills to lead the software vendor/ partner to drive adoption and software use that creates desired outcomes.## **Job Duties and Responsibilities:**Business Value Leader – 40%* Partner with business stakeholders to determine and strategize solutions for complex business problems using our business technology stack to effectively drive business process improvements.* Gather, evaluate, and document customer business needs and requirements and translate these into functional specifications that balance optimization across the technology portfolio with the needs of the business.* Act as a liaison between business and technical teams.* Identify and develop a road map for new use cases, business rules, and efficiencies.* Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize requests and ideas from the business area and users to ensure work focuses on those with maximum value that are aligned with product strategy.* Consider the holistic needs, collaborate with teams using expertise and best practices to understand the possibilities and functions of the platform to meet the business needs.* Develop an intimate knowledge of the users and technology to leverage in consultation and recommendations.Driving adoption, enablement, and measurable ROI – 30%* Use Data analysis and data analytics by partnering with others on platform usage or platform related data.* Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure data is accessible, accurate, and relevant for business teams, guiding the necessary data for metrics and enabling informed, data-driven decisions.* Identify innovative use of the system that drives adoption, ROI, efficiencies, and business outcomes through enablement efforts.* Use analytics to determine the success of feature releases and take corrective action if needed – Sprint metrics, team health, platform productivity / usage.* Identify the right metrics to capture, communicate, and measure value.* Develop and track on key metrics (like Total Cost of Ownership) to understand and track on ROI, the cost, value and impact of the platform portfolio.Vendor and User Management – 30%* Manage releases of new versions, features, and bug fixes.* Manage relationships with vendors. Be the main point of contact for vendors. Being strategic in considering renewals (partnering with Strategic Sourcing) and exploring additional products / Functionality.* Lead the planning product release plans and set the expectation for delivery of new functionalities. Keep up to date with new features and functionality.* Able to configure systems to meet business needs or work cross-functionally to meet those needs.* Provide opportunities for citizen development within the platform - Responsible for enabling and empowering business teams to be able to create appropriate system configuration or business rule changes.* Develop an intimate knowledge of the users to leverage in consultation and recommendations.## **Qualifications (Education, Experience, Certifications & KSA):*** Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Management, or equivalent combination of education and experience.* 3-4 years of work-related experience.* 1-2 years of leadership experience.* Proven experience in working with cross-functional technology teams.*The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job.
