Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Rotating Days and Nights | 3x12-hour shifts | Day: 07:00–19:30 / Night: 19:00–07:30 | Expected 2–3 weekend shifts per 6-week scheduling period | Orientation shifts may vary and include 8-hour shifts

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to NICU Level III/IV patients, including the most critically ill and premature neonates
• Manage post-operative patients, including g-tube care and tracheostomy/ventilator management
• Operate and monitor various modes of invasive and noninvasive ventilation
• Float to other units as needed based on staffing requirements
• Complete a pass/fail telemetry exam prior to start , meeting strict passing criteria within allowable attempts

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license required
• BLS certification required (AHA only)
• NRP certification required (AHA only)
• Minimum of 2 years of NICU Level III/IV experience, with at least 1 full year in a Level IV NICU (Level III and Level IV experience may be combined to meet the 2-year total)
• Minimum of 2 years of acute care inpatient RN experience within the last 3 years in the specialty being applied to
• Epic EMR experience required
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible; local candidates will not be accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with post-operative neonatal and pediatric patients
• Proficiency with multiple modes of invasive and noninvasive ventilation
• Familiarity with high-acuity Level IV NICU environments and complex patient populations
