Training ManagerPosition Summary: As an ambassador of Gastamo's mission to make everyone feel special through great food, unique environments, and exceptional hospitality, the Training Manager owns the accuracy, quality, and innovation of Gastamo's training content. This role oversees training from onboarding through ongoing development and ensures Opus and all in-restaurant materials remain current with every rollout, menu change, and process update.Gastamo Group is looking for a Training Manager who is passionate about people, hospitality, and how learning truly sticks. Organize and update content, build learning paths, and track completion through reporting to ensure training remains current, accessible, and effective.Build and maintain Gastamo's training materials across all brands, including LMS modules, how-to guides, onboarding checklists, step-by-step job aids, and video scripts. Ensure training is developed for new menu items, LTOs, process changes, and operational updates, with clear timelines so teams are prepared before launch.Ensure all digital content is mobile-friendly and easy to access for hourly team members.Proactively audit existing content on a regular cadence to catch outdated information before it reaches the floor.Ensure all materials are aligned with Gastamo's brand voice, hospitality standards, and Core Values.Hourly Training Program OversightOwn the content for hourly onboarding and training across all positions, from Host to Senior Line — not the structure or curriculum design of the program itself.Build "Train the Trainer" content and job aids that equip GMs and restaurant-level trainers to teach and coach consistently, without requiring the Training Manager's in-restaurant presence.Partner with GMs and Directors of Operations as a content resource — answering questions, troubleshooting materials, and incorporating field feedback into updates.Communicate proactively about content status, rollout timelines, and any roadblocks.Track completion and effectiveness of hourly training content and flag gaps to leadership with a recommended fix, not just a problem.AI & Learning InnovationUse AI and emerging tools to improve the training content-development process, including drafting, editing, updating, and repurposing materials with greater speed, consistency, and efficiency.Continuously improve how Gastamo's training is built and delivered through video, microlearning, FAQ-style guides, and other formats that make learning practical, engaging, and easy to apply on the job.Stay current on hospitality, learning and development, and AI trends, bringing relevant ideas and proven practices back to Gastamo to strengthen how we train and develop our teams.New Restaurant OpeningsPrepare and deliver accurate, ready-to-use hourly training materials for new restaurant openings ahead of each NRO timeline.Support the operations and training leads running the on-site NRO training with content and troubleshooting as needed; on-site, day-to-day NRO training execution is led by Operations and the Director of Operations, not the Training Manager.Benefits401(k) with company matchREST (Paid Time Off)Medical, Dental, and Vision InsuranceVoluntary Benefits (Life, Accident, Critical Illness, Legal, Home & Auto, ID Theft)HSA/FSA with company matchLife, Short-Term & Long-Term Disability InsuranceLeadership Health BenefitMonthly Comp CardEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Referral ProgramPaid FAMLI LeaveRequirementsQualifications3+ years of restaurant or hospitality management experience, with experience in training, content development, or learning and development preferred.Previous Gastamo management experience at the GM, AGM, or equivalent level is a plus.Strong understanding of how adults learn and what drives behavior, with the ability to translate that understanding into practical, effective training.Bachelor's degree, relevant professional certification, or comparable continued education preferred, particularly in psychology, adult learning, instructional design, organizational development, education, or a related field. A combination of relevant education and strong hands-on experience will also be considered.Skilled in a variety of content tools: video creation/editing, presentation platforms, digital learning tools, and print design.Strong writer and editor — able to translate operational detail into clear, accurate, on-brand training content.Comfortable working independently: able to take a rollout, an update, or a new initiative and run with minimal direction.Technologically curious — open to exploring and implementing new tools (e.g., AI, LMS platforms, Opus enhancements).Passionate about how people learn and retain knowledge.Strong, practical AI skills — comfortable using AI tools to draft, edit, and speed up content production.
