Equipment Assembly TechnicianNewton Crouch Company is seeking a skilled Equipment Assembly Technician to join our production team in Griffin, GA. In this role, you'll be responsible for the accurate assembly of dry agricultural spreading equipment.This position requires close attention to detail, a strong safety mindset, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. If you take pride in precision work and want to be part of a team building equipment that farmers across the United States and beyond depend on, we'd like to hear from you.ResponsibilitiesAssemble hydraulics, brakes, electrical and parts kitsDrill, grind and prepare steel partsAssemble parts to create finished unitQuality control to ensure all equipment assembled matches drawings and Newton Crouch standardsWork independently or with Final Assembly team to ensure equipment is assembled in timely mannerKeep work area clean, organized, and free of any hazardsCompetenciesQuality - Demonstrates accuracy and thoroughness; Looks for ways to improve and promote quality; Applies feedback to improve performance; Monitors own work to ensure quality.Quantity – Meets productivity standards; Completes work in timely manner; Strives to increase productivity; Works efficiently.Safety – Observes safety procedures; Reports potentially unsafe conditions; Uses equipment and materials properly.Attendance/Punctuality – Is consistently at work and on time. Shares knowledge and experience of process and machinery with other team members.Skills and QualificationsMinimum 1-3 years of machine operating experienceKnowledge of basic hand tools i.e.: handheld plasma, grinder, cutting torch, etc.Ability to read and understand CAD drawings and wiring diagramsAbility to work independentlyAbility to safely operate a forklift is requiredBuild and maintain relationships within teamExhibit a high level of personal integrityDisplay sound judgement and common senseDemonstrate a positive attitude toward self and othersPhysical DemandsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
