We're looking for a compassionate, energetic, and team-oriented Medical Assistant who is ready to jump in, keep the day running smoothly, and help create a positive experience for every family who walks through our doors.As a Medical Assistant, you'll be an essential part of our care team, working alongside our physicians, nurse practitioners, nurses, and support staff to deliver outstanding pediatric care. No two days are ever the same, and that's exactly how we like it!What You'll Be DoingEvery day brings new opportunities to make a difference. You'll:Welcome patients and families with a warm, friendly attitudeRoom patients, collect medical histories, obtain vital signs and measurements, and prepare children for their visitPerform clinical procedures including capillary blood testing, vision and hearing screenings, specimen collection, fluoride varnish applicationReview allergies, medications, and other pre-visit information using our electronic medical recordAccurately document patient information in the EMRHelp keep exam rooms clean, organized, and fully stockedCoordinate and monitor referrals to specialists and outside providersFollow up with families to ensure recommended care has been completedPractice excellent infection control and safety standardsWork closely with providers and teammates to keep the office running efficientlyProvide compassionate, age-appropriate, and culturally sensitive care to every patient and familyWe're Looking For Someone Who...Loves working with children and familiesIs positive, dependable, and enjoys being part of a collaborative teamCan stay organized and multitask in a busy medical officeHas excellent communication and customer service skillsIs comfortable using electronic medical records, Microsoft Office, and emailUnderstands the importance of confidentiality and HIPAA complianceCan work independently while supporting the entire care teamQualificationsHigh school diploma or GED requiredMedical Assistant certification preferred, but not requiredPediatric or medical office experience is a plus—we're happy to train the right person!Physical RequirementsThis position requires the ability to:Lift and carry medical supplies, equipment, infants, and small children as neededBend, stand, walk, and sit throughout the workdayCommunicate effectively with patients, families, and coworkersWork efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environmentReasonable accommodations may be made to enable qualified individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the position.
