Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)-Basic

LifeCare Ambulance - Memphis/Mississippi is seeking an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)-Basic to join our team of dedicated professionals. As an EMT, you will provide basic emergency and non-emergency paramedical care to the ill and injured, responding to emergency calls and transporting patients to medical facilities.

Responsibilities:

• Provide basic emergency and non-emergency paramedical care to the ill and injured
• Respond to emergency calls, performing medical services and transporting patients to medical facilities
• Continue to give care as necessary during the transport of the patient to the hospital
• Maintain composure in extremely stressful situations and assess medical situations to perform emergency lifesaving procedures
• Safely transfer patients onto and lift and carry stretchers into the ambulance

Requirements:

• Skills and experience incumbent to function with proficiency at the BLS level of service
• Must be 18 years of age or older
• High School Diploma or GED
• Tennessee Licensure as Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)-Basic
• Valid Driver's License with an F endorsement and with a good driving record
• Current CPR card
• Consent to a criminal background check
• Ability to lift/push/pull at least 100+ lbs.

Preferred:

• PHTLS Certificate
• ITLS Certificate
• National Registry Certification
