Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Emergency Room is responsible for providing care to Emergency Room patients by utilizing the nursing process in accordance with state Nurse Practice Act and hospital policy and procedures. The RN demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgement, and leadership in planning for the safe delivery of care for patients in the Emergency Department. The role includes maintaining clinical competencies through continuing education and delegating patient care priorities based on the available staff's education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care through the nursing process of assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
• Direct and coordinate all nursing care based on established clinical nursing practices.
• Collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• 2+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse.
• At least 2 previous travel assignments completed successfully.
• Valid certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, and ESI Level 5 training.
• TNCC certification preferred.
• Cerner experience preferred.
