Role Summary
Contribute to device development projects, focusing on laser, scanner, and electronics packaging. Responsibilities include fixture design in SolidWorks, detailing, BOM creation, and implementing design changes with a strong emphasis on design for manufacturing. Support production transfer of new and legacy products, addressing manufacturing, material flow, and testing issues. Participate in gated design processes, including design reviews, risk analysis, and design verification. Generate documentation per medical SOPs, including work instructions, travelers, and test forms for DHF and submission support.
Requirements
BS in Mechanical or Manufacturing Engineering 3+ years of experience in the medical device industry SolidWorks (or other 3D CAD) experience Familiarity with PLM systems (e.g., Arena) Strong mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience Proficiency in MS Word and Excel
