Utility Technician

Description At Little Creek Casino Resort, we are committed to providing a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for our guests and team members. We are seeking a hardworking and dependable Utility Technician to maintain the cleanliness and safety of our casino grounds. This role is hands‑on and essential to our operations, involving trash disposal, recycling, snow removal, equipment operation, and adherence to safety standards. The ideal candidate is physically capable, safety‑conscious, and takes pride in supporting a team‑oriented, guest‑focused environment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Keeps all dumpsters empty on Casino grounds. Keeps all recycling bins empty on Casino grounds. Keeps parking lots, loading docks, and compactor yard clear and clean of trash. Shovels snow from walks and driveways. Spread salt on public sidewalks to prevent ice buildup. Cleans out drainage ditches and culverts of debris. Operate equipment that compresses collected refuse. Operates various vehicles, such as forklifts, and mechanical sweepers. Notify management of occurring deficiencies or needs for repairs. Adhere to Safety checklists. Requirements Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Three months related experience and/or training; or Equivalent combination of education and experience. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations Class II gaming license issued by the Squaxin Island Gaming Commission Valid Washington State driver’s license. Valid Forklift certification. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to tobacco fumes. The employee is required to sustain long periods of standing; walking; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; and climb or balance. The employee must be able to withstand long periods of stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling. The employee is occasionally required to talk or hear. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
