ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN

Duties

You will develop plans and sketches to prepare definitive Formal Work Procedures (FWP), Controlled Work Packages (CWP), create work specifications and estimates of man-hours and material requirements for assigned work.

You will plan step-by-step work procedures for production ship; designate lead and assist work centers; shop man-hours, and equipment resources required.

You will determine material and obtain material quotes for the purpose of procurement.

You will plan and establish overall layouts, drafts, sketches and drawings, applying and computing tolerances, dimensions, clearances, fits, sizes, or other design aspects as required.

You will evaluate quality and adequacy of materials, workmanship, procedures, and processes utilized.

You will plan work assignments based on priorities, difficulty and requirements of assignments to ensure established milestones are met.

You will schedule ship, craft and equipment inspections as required.
