IT Help Desk Support Specialist

POSITION OVERVIEW:

Applies technical knowledge to assist internal users with computer problems

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Coordinates investigations to diagnose and resolve hardware, software, network, system, and user-related IT issues.
• Conducts research to understand, explain and resolve technical issues
• Communicates updates to users that have been or may be affected by a problem and follows up with users after problems have been resolved.
• Utilizes help desk tracking software to present recommendations and improvements for user systems.
• Initiates onboarding procedures for new users into the system and ensures response time are quick and effective to appropriately revolve requests.
• Coordinates referrals to technical, professional or service personnel depending on the repair, training, service or software issue.
• Update and Manage Microsoft Office 365 Admin Portal, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive
• Manage user accounts, access permissions, security groups, and application access across company systems.

KEY REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelors degree is strongly preferred; with 2-4 years experience
• Prior experience working in a company with multiple entities desired
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
• Trouble shooting skills, ability to foster teamwork
• Decision making skills. With proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for Windows and MAC
• Prior experience with MAC and Windows OS environment
• Strong planning and organizational skills with the ability to timely follow through on tasks.
• Must be able to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment, be self-motivated.
• Must be willing and able to travel to various job sites.
