About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience required License: Valid State License required Certifications: - ACLS - BLS - NIHSS - PALS - TNCC (preferred) - Either MAB or CPI (preferred) Must-Have: - Proficient in EPIC Description: Emergency Room nursing position with a focus on patient care. Must be available for three 12-hour shifts. Candidates must have a minimum of two years of experience. Weekend requirements include six shifts in a six-week block. The unit sees 200 cases a day in the summer and up to 350 cases a day in winter. Patient population includes a mix of adults and pediatrics, with a significant volume of geriatric patients. Average age of patients is 76 years old. The unit operates with a patient-to-nurse ratio of 4:1. Strong customer service skills are required. Proficient in TPA administration and therapeutic hypothermia. Travelers must work every other holiday but may be asked to work two of three major holidays. Candidates may float within their skill set across the facility. Charting is primarily done using EPIC. Travelers will handle cases related to STEMI, sepsis, and primary stroke. Experience with IV starts and telemetry is essential. Preferred certifications include MAB or CPI, as well as ventilator management experience.
