Marine Pipe Fitter

Location: Mobile, AL & Pascagoula MS
Job Type: Full-Time
Pay: $37 - $48 hr / $150 per diem

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Marine Pipe Fitter to join our shipyard/marine construction team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for fabricating, installing, repairing, and testing piping systems aboard marine vessels and industrial marine facilities. Candidates should have strong blueprint reading skills, knowledge of marine piping systems, and the ability to work safely in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and piping diagrams
• Fabricate, assemble, and install marine piping systems including hydraulic, fuel, water, air, and steam lines
• Measure, cut, bevel, bend, and thread pipes using hand and power tools
• Install pipe hangers, supports, valves, and fittings
• Conduct pressure testing and leak testing of systems
• Repair and replace damaged piping systems aboard vessels
• Work closely with welders, shipfitters, and supervisors to complete projects on schedule
• Follow OSHA, shipyard, and company safety procedures at all times
• Maintain tools, equipment, and clean work areas

Qualifications

• 2+ years of marine pipe fitting experience preferred
• Ability to read and interpret marine blueprints and isometric drawings
• Knowledge of pipe fabrication and installation techniques
• Experience with carbon steel, stainless steel, copper-nickel, and PVC piping systems
• Familiarity with shipyard safety regulations and confined space work
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in physically demanding environments
• Reliable transportation and strong attendance record
