Position Overview Shift Manager in Training. Ideal candidates should have previous manager experience. A background in quick‑service restaurants is strongly desired, or experience in hospitality or retail. Must be 18 years or older. Responsibilities Plan each shift. Monitor performance during the shift. Take action to ensure the team meets McDonald’s standards. Monitor safety, security, and profitability. Communicate with other Shift Managers and crew. Motivate, delegate, and coach the team. Complete assigned cleanliness tasks. Complete assigned planned maintenance tasks. Additional Responsibilities Food Safety. Internal Communication. Key Leadership Tasks Lead the experience: oversee and lead crew and other managers on your shift. Inspire and empower: provide encouraging leadership for crew and managers to provide an outstanding guest experience. Supervise and lead food safety and cleanliness measures to meet McDonald’s standards. Take measures around safety, security, inventory, and profitability. Encourage training, education, and continued learning within the restaurant. Drive and expect a high level of performance from the team. Qualifications Previous managerial experience is required, ideally within a restaurant, retail, or hospitality environment. Positive team player with flexible schedule. Strong customer service and support focus. Effective communication and ability to anticipate customer needs. Ability to provide solutions and make decisions in a fast‑paced environment.
