And we’re reimagining how space can connect us, ensuring security and prosperity.Join us in shaping a new era in space and find a career that's built for youAbout the Role:Come join the growing Theater Strike Weapon System program portfolio, including Conventional Prompt Strike, Hypersonic Weapon Systems, Sea-Launched Cruise Missile, Hypersonic Payload Delivery systems, and other new and dynamic programs. In this role as a GNC engineer, you may be involved in many of the following activities:• Apply missile guidance, navigation, and control expertise to algorithm development, signal and data processing, modeling, and simulation • Integrate Matlab/Simulink models into a 6-DOF C++ simulation • Develop high fidelity models and simulation software • Develop new source code in C++ and Python • Modify code in C++, C, Matlab, Simulink, Fortran, Python, Linux shell, and YAML • Create unit tests • Implement simulation software on a high performance computing cluster including Linux systems or VMs • Work in an Agile DevOps environment with Docker/Container and Kubernetes deployment • Collaborate with the performance critical thinkers, Flight Software team, and customer Successful applicants generally have a minimum of 2+ years of related experience and may have a post‑secondary degree or training in a related discipline.Basic Qualifications:Skill Requirements:• Broad technical skills such as rigid body dynamics, control theory, and/or computer programming. • Proven experience using MATLAB and/or Simulink for simulation and analysis of feedback control systems, closed loop guidance, or navigation algorithms. • C/C++ programming experience• Demonstrate strong math skills in the areas of linear algebra, matrix math, statistics, trigonometry, and/or coordinate transformation. • Ability to clearly document analysis results in presentation slides and engineering memos • Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative team environment. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday offPay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $82,900 - $146,165. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
