Coastal Light Psychotherapy Center is actively seeking a dedicated and culturally competent full-time Licensed Mental Health Therapist (LMFT, LMHC, LICSW) to provide essential mental health services via telehealth. Work Environment
This position is fully remote, utilizing a telehealth model to facilitate therapy sessions. Our virtual environment promotes flexibility and innovation, enabling our therapists to connect with clients in a manner that is both comfortable and effective. The work schedule is designed from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with some flexibility required to meet the needs of patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct culturally-sensitive mental health assessments to gain insight into each patient's unique experiences and to inform tailored treatment plans.
- Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions customized to meet the diverse needs of individual patients, ensuring alignment with their cultural backgrounds.
- Facilitate individual, family, and group therapy sessions to effectively address a range of mental health concerns and promote client resilience and overall well-being.
- Collaborate closely with psychiatrists, psychologists, and other mental health professionals to ensure continuity of care and comprehensive support for clients.
- Provide crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies, applying strong clinical judgment to assess and address acute challenges.
- Educate clients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment alternatives, and available community resources to empower them in their journey toward recovery.
- Maintain detailed and secure documentation as per legal, ethical, and organizational standards to ensure accountability and quality of care.
- Engage in regular case conferences and team meetings to discuss client progress and receive peer support, as well as partake in cultural competency training sessions to continually enhance service delivery.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest research, therapeutic techniques, and cultural considerations relevant to mental health therapy.

Qualifications
- Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
- Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in the state of Washington.
- Proven understanding of mental health disorders, demonstrated knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic practices, and a strong commitment to cultural competence in therapeutic settings.
- Experience in providing individual and group therapy interventions that are inclusive and culturally responsive.
- Exceptional crisis intervention skills, exhibiting the ability to maintain composure under pressure and respond effectively to acute situations.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, enabling the development of strong rapport with diverse clients and facilitating therapeutic alliances.
- Proficiency in using electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant software applications related to therapy and documentation.
- Commitment to ethical standards, professional boundaries, and confidentiality in all aspects of practice.
- A demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Preferred Experience
- A background in working within multicultural settings and experience addressing the specific mental health needs of diverse populations is highly desirable.
- Participation in ongoing professional development and training in culturally informed therapeutic practices will be beneficial.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is $70,000 to $100,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. We offer a robust benefits package that includes:
