CT Technologist Trainee

Role Overview Under supervision, performs computerized tomographic (CT) examinations, developing relevant skills and competencies. Key Responsibilities Performs CT studies, positions patients, and provides immobilization and counseling. Selects technical protocols for optimal imaging. Reviews orders and consults with radiologists and nurses. Maintains exam records. Follows safety protocols, properly identifies patients, ensures data accuracy, and maintains confidentiality. Prepares and operates contrast injectors, screens for contraindications, and manages sterile fields and supplies. Assists radiologists during procedures, captures interventional images, and operates CT systems. Post-processes images and transmits them to PACS. Maintains equipment and reports malfunctions. Provides patient care, explaining procedures, maintaining IV access, and ensuring safety measures, including radiation safety. Records radiation doses and assists with patient transport. Part of resuscitation efforts during emergencies, maintains supplies and cleanliness, and participates in ongoing education and departmental meetings. Qualifications & Skills Minimum one year of experience as a registered technologist or equivalent education/experience. Associates degree in radiologic technology or related experience. Required licensure and certification, including radiographer license, radiologic technologist certification, and CPR. Preferred: two or more years radiologic technologist experience and ARRT CT certification. #J-18808-Ljbffr
