Packer 1 Weekend Shift 12HR (2nd Shift)

Job Title

Responsible for packaging parts for shipment/transport.

Reports to: Department Supervisor

Location: Garden Grove, CA

Type: Full-Time Schedule: Weekend Shift (Friday-Sunday 12HR Shift) 5pm - 5:30am

Job Summary:

Measure, weigh, and count products and materials

Examine and inspect containers, materials, and products in order to ensure that packing specifications are met

Ensure that all documentation is kept with the materials

Record product, packaging, and order information on specified forms and records

Seal containers or materials, using stretch wrap, tape, and other packaging materials

Assemble, line, and pad cartons, crates, and containers using hand tools

Clean containers, materials, supplies, or work areas, using cleaning solutions and hand tools

Follow instructions from supervisor pertaining to specific instructions or tasks

Ensure integrity of parts after processing (damage, scratches, etc.)

Visually inspect parts to ensure the process has been completed correctly

Perform other duties as assigned

Skills & Abilities:

Education: High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED): Required

Vision (Near, Distance) Sense of Sound - Able to hear average conversation Sense of Touch Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) - Safety Glasses Standing for long periods of time

Work Environment:

The majority of work is performed in a manufacturing setting. This position requires access to knowledge and technical data regulated by the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Valence Surface Technologies is required to verify that applicants meet ITAR requirements prior to employment for this role.
