Equipment Operator

Major Job Responsibilities/Duties Operates equipment including front loader with bucket, 12k forklift or smaller with rotator, bobcat, and skid steer. Follows all Sims safety regulations and golden rules. Provides pre‑shift and end‑of‑shift inspections. Responsible for greasing and daily upkeep of equipment and work areas. Performs routine maintenance on loader such as lubricating, fueling and cleaning. Completes inspection report prior to using equipment. Safely operates machinery under the direction of the shift supervisor or production manager. Loads trucks, piles scrap material, loads/unloads barges and rail cars. End‑of‑shift clean up and equipment inspection. Regularly cleans equipment to preserve its quality and functionality. Commits to the overall safety of the work environment. Sweeps and shovels residual waste from process. Other duties may be assigned. Job Qualifications High School diploma or general education degree (GED). Valid driver’s license. Minimum of 12 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
