Operations Manager

Location: Bristol, CT
Salary: $80,000–$90,000 annually
Hours: Approximately 50 hours per week

About the Opportunity

Our client, a growing manufacturer is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee warehouse operations and production. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for driving productivity, ensuring safety, and managing daily operations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all warehouse and production activities
• Lead and manage warehouse employees
• Conduct attendance checks, safety meetings, and equipment inspections
• Learn and oversee operation of production equipment, including:

o Cardboard cutting machines

o Forklifts

o Wrapping equipment

• Monitor production, setup times, and run times to maximize efficiency
• Ensure orders are completed accurately and on schedule
• Make hiring, disciplinary, termination, and temporary staffing decisions
• Maintain a safe, organized, and productive work environment

Qualifications

• 4–6 years of management experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Detail-oriented with a focus on production and efficiency
• Comfortable making quick decisions in a fast-paced environment
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn specialized equipment
• Forklift or industrial equipment experience is a plus

Compensation

• $80,000–$90,000 annually, based on experience
