Power Generation Project Manager

Project ManagerPosition Title: Project ManagerProject Location: Chester, VA 23836Pay Rate: $80–$90/hour on W2Duration: 4 Months (Possible Extension)Schedule: 40 hours/week with occasional overtime based on project needsMobilization/Demobilization: $500 one-time payment at the beginning and end of the assignment (subject to project policy). Per Diem: Standard Rate of VA, 7 days/week if qualifiedPosition OverviewWe are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead a high-visibility power generation project. The ideal candidate will have strong experience managing capital projects, contractors, budgets, schedules, and safety-focused operations within power generation environments.Key ResponsibilitiesLead execution of capital projects from development through commissioningManage project scope, schedule, budget, and financial forecastsCoordinate multiple contractors, vendors, and project stakeholdersSupport engineering, procurement, construction, and startup activitiesManage contracts, commercial activities, and project documentationEnsure safety and environmental compliance throughout project executionUtilize project management processes to track milestones and deliverablesResolve technical issues and implement project improvementsRequired Experience7+ years of industry experience in construction, engineering, or project managementMinimum 3 years of demonstrated project management experienceStrong power generation experience requiredExperience with turbines, generators, pumps, motors, controls, electrical/instrumentation systems, and balance-of-plant equipmentExperience managing contractors and multiple project prioritiesStrong understanding of project budgets, schedules, and cost forecastingKnowledge of construction and operational field practicesExperience with safety practices, including OSHA requirementsAbility to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and specificationsPreferred QualificationsExperience with generator outage projectsFossil/coal power plant experienceEngineering, Business, or Construction Management degreeExperience with commissioning and transition to operationsAbout Us:Founded in 2009, IntelliPro stands as a global leader in talent acquisition and HR solutions.
