What You’ll Do As a Field Service Technician Field Service Technicians drive out to client sites throughout the Greater Central Valley to assist with new start-ups, preventative maintenance, customer support of automated sorting machines. Field Service Technicians also travel to other Western states about 15-20% of the time with overnight stays. Key Requirements 2 years of college or equivalent in an electronics-based curriculum. Fluent in Spanish and English-preferred Valid Drivers License and clean DMV Record Field Service Technicians must be able to troubleshoot issues with electrical power circuits, PLC circuits and digital and analog circuits Testing of new equipment installs Reading schematics and using test equipment such as voltmeters Knowledge of computer hardware and configurations Communicate with customers via phone, email, and in person Knowledge of computer hardware and configurations Able to travel and overnight stays when needed Physical Requirements The employee is frequently required to stand, bend, stoop, crawl, climb ladders and work in elevated places. The employee must occasionally lift, push, pull, 40 lbs. or more.
