Facilities Technician

Facilities TechnicianOur client, an organization dedicated to maintaining and supporting large-scale facilities, is seeking a Facilities Technician to join their team. As a Facilities Technician, you will be part of the Facilities Management department supporting the operational needs of two sites in Ashland, VA. The ideal candidate will demonstrate problem-solving skills, reliability, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.Location: Ashland, VAPay Range: $25-$28Shift: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm ESTWhat's the Job?Oversee operation and perform repairs, installation, and preventative maintenance on Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) infrastructure.Inspect and ensure all drainage systems are free flowing and clear of obstructions; respond to calls to snake out drains or clear blockages.Inspect and repair restroom fixtures and ensure all compressed air systems are operational and error-free.Manage dock and loading equipment systems, respond to malfunctions, and coordinate vendor support as needed.Work with clients to schedule equipment downtime for maintenance with minimal impact to end users.What's Needed?High School Diploma or equivalent.Minimum 3 years of related experience in carpentry, electrical, and plumbing.Experience with hand tools and power tools.Proficient in basic computer applications such as MS Office, Outlook, and CMMS (Maximo or Corrigo).Valid driver's license and availability for call-in work.What's in it for me?Opportunity to work in a larger campus environment with multiple buildings within walking distance.Onsite parking and a supportive work environment.Engage in diverse maintenance tasks, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general repairs.Be part of a team that values safety, professionalism, and continuous improvement.Upon completion of waiting period, associates are eligible for:Medical and Prescription Drug PlansDental PlanSupplemental Life InsuranceShort Term Disability Insurance401(k)
