You will be a part of a team that is dedicated to improving the delivery and quality of healthcare to our Urgent Care patients, while being part of a medical community in which you are supported in your growth as a medical professional.Salary: Starting at $21.00 per hourAt WellNow Urgent Care you'll enjoy:Competitive salaryParental leaveContinuing education opportunitiesMedical benefits, including vision coverage, FSA/HSA options, and prescription drug coverage401(k) plan with a company match for your future financial securityFree urgent care visits for you and your eligible dependentsScrubs provided to ensure a professional and comfortable work environmentOpportunities for promotional growth as we continue to expand our presenceMonthly bonus based on your performance and productivityEssential Job Functions:Patient Care Responsibilities:Responsible for taking patient history and obtain vital signsPerform necessary phlebotomy for collection of laboratory samples, if certifiedAccurately complete corresponding paperwork/computer work for lab tests ordered on blood, urine, tissue and culture samplesPerform point of care testing such as: strep, mono, glucose, influenza, Urine pregnancy, Urinalysis, blood glucose levelsSchedule and coordinate necessary records for ancillary care for patientsAssist providers with exams and testing (pelvic exams, eye irrigations and ear irrigations, I & D's and splinting/ ortho-glass preparation, EKG)Maintain confidentiality with all patient information (HIPAA)Ensures equipment is in working orderLogs laboratory procedures when completed, processes related paperwork using computer equipment as directedMaintains examination rooms and stocks necessary medical suppliesPerforms duties to ensure good patient flowAccompanies the provider to the bedsidePerforms tasks to improve provider efficiency during the course of a shiftDocument the provider dictated patient history including history of present illness, review of systems, past medical and surgical history, family and social histories, medications and allergiesDocument patient medical history, physical examination findings, and procedures as performed by the providerCommitted to the specialty of Urgent Care, with a focus on serving our communities with quick, convenient and quality care with continued clinical and patient experience trainingReception Responsibilities:Explain to patients what insurances that are accepted and those that are out of network as well knowledgeable of all pricingGreets patients and completes registration process in a timely mannerAnswers and appropriately triages phone callsCollects patient responsibility for visitsPrinting, scanning, and faxing reportsCleaning of the clinic before, during, and after shiftOccupational Medicine Responsibilities:Ensures accurate completion and timely scanning of all required Occupational Medicine documentation into the EMR system, maintaining compliance with company protocols and regulatory standardsCompletes the following Occupational Medicine testing:Urine Drug ScreensBreath Alcohol TestingHair Collection Drug ScreensDOT & Non-DOT PhysicalsVision and Audio TestingPulmonary Function TestingAudiogramsMinimum Requirements:6+ months of experience as a Patient Care Technician or similar role; OR equivalent education/certification in a related healthcare specialtyPreferred experience in Urgent Care, Occupational Medicine, and/or PhlebotomyAbility to identify equipment problems and correcting or notifying team leaderAbility to establish and maintain effective relationships with staff, patients, and familiesComputer knowledge and skills, must be able to register patients on the computer in a timely manner; including use of Electronic Medical Records (EMR)Ability to complete and maintain CPR certificationExcellent listening and note-taking skillsAbility to apply written instructions and standardize work practicesStrong communication skills, including grammatical, spelling and verbalDetail-oriented with proven ability to work effectively under conditions requiring accuracyCapable of working well on a teamFriendly and customer service orientedAbility to manage high call and patient volumeEducation:High School Diploma or GED requiredPreferred License Or Certification:EMT Basic certificationMedical Assistant certification through one of the following programs:Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) - National Healthcare AssociationCertified Medical Assistant (CMA) – American Association of Medical TechnologistsRegistered Medical Assistant (RMA) – American Medical TechnologistsWellNow is an EOE.
