Job Title

Registered Nurse – Emergency Room

Location

Columbia, SC

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Nights (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) | 3x12-Hour Shifts | Every Other Weekend Required

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a fast-paced Emergency Room setting at a free-standing ER facility with 14 rooms including a dedicated resuscitation room
• Maintain a patient ratio of 1:5 while delivering high-quality, evidence-based nursing care
• Document all patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately using Epic EMR
• Work scheduled night shifts including holidays as needed per facility requirements
• Participate in emergency response team assignments during hurricane season (June through November) as required

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of Emergency Room nursing experience required
• Active South Carolina RN license or Compact license must be in hand prior to start date
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required
• Community hospital experience required
• Previous travel nursing experience required; first-time travelers will not be considered

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience working in a free-standing or high-acuity emergency room environment
• Demonstrated ability to adapt to varying patient volumes and acuity levels
