Part-Time Assistant Manager

Role Summary Cinemark Assistant Managers assist in the overall operation of the theatre. They ensure policies and procedures are followed and operational standards are achieved. They are cross‑trained in all departments to support where needed and provide inspirational training to all Employees. The Assistant Manager can become a Senior Assistant Manager followed by Theatre Manager or General Manager after completing the Management Accreditation Program and working for a minimum of six months. Responsibilities Follow the direction of the General Manager. Support the General Manager’s decisions in communication with staff. Work in all departments and perform all theatre job functions. Train and coach Team Members in their specific job functions. Assist in the preparation of administrative and special reports for the General Manager. Observe and participate in inspections of the theatre building, parking lot, landscaping, property, roof, exterior signage, and equipment condition. Report the need for building, property, and equipment repairs to the General Manager. Ensure that theatre Team Members follow the dress code. Interact with Guests to improve service and ensure Team Members provide superior customer service. Learn and follow the policies and procedures established in Cinemark’s Guidelines, enforcing them fairly and consistently. Report all employee relations issues to the General Manager; if GM absent, report to Convercent; all managers must follow the Employee Relations Reporting Protocol. Hold all management members to a high work ethic standard and code of conduct. Consistently identify and sanitize high‑contact employee and Guest areas. Properly utilize Personal Protective Equipment while completing position‑specific tasks. Adapt to the frequency and scope of required cleaning tasks. Properly address any safety or security issues such as trip hazards, lighting, or suspicious persons. Perform other work‑related duties as assigned. Requirements Be at least 18 years old. High School diploma or G.E.D. preferred. Complete three basic courses (Management Foundations, Annual Certifications, and MAP Core) in Cinemark’s Management Accreditation Program. Complete basic food‑handling training and obtain any local or state‑mandated certification, health card, or food‑handler permit where required. If working with alcohol, complete a Safe Alcohol Service training program. Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Regular and consistent attendance. Energetic and friendly attitude during each shift. Provide excellent Guest service. Accurate cash handling and basic math skills. Effective verbal and written communication skills with all ages, genders, and personalities. Proficiency in English. Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Ability to take and follow direction. Respond with a sense of urgency. Excellent time‑management, organizational skills, and attention to detail. Ability to train and lead others. Ability to resolve conflict. Physical and Environmental Requirements Frequent bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Frequent standing, walking, and reaching around the theater. Noise level may be moderate to high at times. Ability to work in a standing position for extended periods.
