Tranquil Talk Therapy is seeking a dedicated Mental Health Therapist to join our team in providing exceptional mental health services specifically tailored for children and adolescents. Work Environment
The position will operate primarily in a telehealth environment, allowing for flexibility while maintaining access to necessary resources and team collaboration. Our work hours are Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts based on patient needs. This remote setting ensures a balanced work-life experience while delivering critical services to those in need.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct in-depth mental health assessments for children and adolescents, analyzing their emotional, social, and behavioral needs.
- Formulate and execute individualized treatment plans that reflect each patient's developmental stage and familial context.
- Employ evidence-based therapeutic modalities to address mental health issues, including individual therapy sessions and family therapy.
- Conduct crisis interventions and provide support during mental health emergencies, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients.
- Lead educational sessions with families to enhance understanding of mental health disorders and treatment pathways.
- Maintain comprehensive and confidential patient records in accordance with HIPAA and other legal requirements.
- Engage actively in team meetings and case consultations, sharing insights and strategies to enhance patient care.
- Stay current with advancements in child and adolescent psychiatry to integrate best practices into clinical work.
Patient Population / Client Focus
Your primary focus will be on treating children and adolescents aged 5 to 18 years, who may be struggling with a range of mental health conditions. This includes facilitating therapeutic processes that foster emotional resilience and psychological health, as well as guiding families in supporting young individuals' mental well-being. By delivering tailored care, you will contribute significantly to improving their overall life quality and emotional stability.
Qualifications
- A Master's or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.
- Current and valid licensure as either an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.
- Demonstrated knowledge of child and adolescent psychological disorders and treatment options.
- Proficient experience in individual and family therapy focusing on young patients.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage with children, adolescents, and their families.
- A solid understanding of electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team environment.
Preferred Experience
- A minimum of two years of experience in a clinical setting dealing with child and adolescent mental health counseling.
- Experience with teletherapy modalities and techniques preferred.
- Familiarity with community resources and programs related to child and adolescent mental health.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range for this position is between USD 80,000 and 105,000 per year, with additional performance-based bonuses available. Tranquil Talk Therapy also offers a competitive benefits package, including:
