About the Role

As a CNA at Highland Care Center, you’ll be an important part of each resident’s day. You’ll provide hands-on care, companionship, encouragement, and support while helping residents maintain their dignity and independence.

You’ll work closely with nurses, therapists, and other members of the healthcare team to provide personalized care and recognize changes in residents that may need attention.

Most importantly, you’ll have the opportunity to make someone’s day better every single day.

What You’ll Do

• Provide compassionate hands-on care to residents.

• Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene.

• Assist with meals, feeding, toileting, transfers, and mobility.

• Obtain and document vital signs, weights, and other measurements as directed.

• Answer call lights and respond to resident needs in a timely manner.

• Observe residents and promptly report changes in condition or concerns to the nurse.

• Promote resident dignity, privacy, independence, and choice.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment.

• Develop positive relationships with residents and their families.

• Work collaboratively with nurses, therapy, dietary, activities, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.

• Participate in required training and education.

• Follow facility policies and procedures and all applicable state and federal regulations.

What We’re Looking For

• Current CNA certification in good standing.

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

• New CNAs and recent graduates are welcome to apply!

• Reliable and dependable.

• Compassionate and patient-centered.

• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

• Someone who takes pride in providing quality care.

• Previous long-term care or skilled nursing experience is a plus, but we’re willing to train the right person.
