This role sits at the intersection of strategy, technology, and customer experience—spanning fulfillment, returns, call center operations, experimentation, and emerging channels such as marketplace partnerships (on-demand fulfillment, social selling, wholesale, and beyond).Think of this role as a General Manager for Data & AI in this space: setting the vision, shaping the roadmap, and turning data into measurable business impact. You’ll partner closely with Product, Engineering, and business leaders to prioritize investments, guide innovation, and ensure data and AI are core to how we operate and grow.What you'll doSet the VisionDefine and lead the data and AI strategy for Post-Purchase and Innovation, aligning it tightly with company priorities and customer outcomesPartner with executive leadership to influence technology investment decisions, trade-offs, and long-term roadmap planningDrive smarter usage and optimization of existing platforms across Fulfillment, Returns, and Customer Support using data-driven insightsBuild and Lead a High-Impact TeamHire, lead, and inspire a cross-functional team of data scientists, analysts, and data product managersCreate a culture of ownership, curiosity, and delivery—coaching the team on both technical excellence and business impactDeliver complex initiatives in collaboration with Engineering, Data Engineering, Product, and Business teamsDrive Experimentation & LearningChampion a test-and-learn mindset, embedding experimentation into how technology decisions are madeLead experimentation design, measurement frameworks, and testing strategies across initiativesApply advanced analytical techniques to evaluate outcomes, run “what-if” scenarios, and provide clear recommendationsAdvance Algorithms & AIOversee the design, development, and deployment of algorithms and models that improve efficiency, reduce cost, and elevate customer experienceEnsure models are scalable, explainable, and aligned with real-world operational needsBe a Connector & StorytellerTranslate business challenges into actionable data and AI initiativesCommunicate complex technical concepts with clarity and confidence to non-technical partnersPresent insights, progress, and recommendations to senior and executive leadershipWho you areProven experience leading data and/or data science teams, ideally in fulfillment, returns, or innovation-driven environmentsStrong hands-on foundation in Python and SQL, with the ability to guide technical directionRetail or marketplace experience strongly preferredExceptional leadership, communication, and influence skillsA track record of building teams, driving strategy, and delivering real business outcomes through dataSalary Range: $209,700.00 - $272,600.00Employee pay will vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, skill level, competencies and work location.
