Job Summary:
Operating Room Nurse in Independence, Missouri. This role involves circulating anesthesia and surgical cases in a busy surgical unit. Candidates must demonstrate the ability to independently circulate orthopedics, neuro, and trauma cases, with experience running two rooms on weekends and staffing in-house for trauma designation. Candidates are required to bring their license on the first day.

• Schedule: Day Shift, 10 hours, minimum of 40 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Candidates must have at least two years of circulating experience with emphasis on orthopedics, neuro, and trauma, and be able to independently circulate cases involving orthopedic, neuro, robotic (da Vinci), and trauma procedures.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience running two rooms on weekends, staffing in-house for trauma designation, familiar with Meditech electronic medical record system, and ability to work in a fast-paced surgical environment.
• Additional Information:
  • Case volume approximately 500 cases per month
  • Staffed with 10 RNs and 10-14 scrub technicians during day shifts, and 1 RN and 1 scrub tech during night shifts
  • Patient ratios of 1:1
  • Equipment includes robot-assisted surgical systems, orthopedic, neuro, genitourinary, cardiovascular, endovascular, and laparoscopic tools
  • Dress code: Blue scrubs
  • Number of Positions: 3
