This full-time, contract opportunity runs from August through June, with multiple openings available. You’ll work onsite with compassionate colleagues and students, providing specialized instruction and support within a well-established district.

Available positions include one self-contained classroom for K-2 students and three inclusion roles (two at the elementary level and one at the middle school level). These assignments offer the chance to foster growth in diverse learners while building strong relationships within the school community.

Qualifications:

• Active and valid Virginia Special Education Teacher Certification (required prior to start)
• Experience working in self-contained or inclusion classrooms preferred
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to develop and adapt instructional materials for students with diverse needs
• Committed to onsite presence and engaging with school teams in-person throughout the contract

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and deliver instruction tailored to individual needs in self-contained and/or inclusion settings
• Collaborate with general education teachers to promote inclusive practices
• Conduct and participate in IEP meetings and maintain accurate records
• Foster a positive, safe, and supportive classroom culture
• Assess student progress and implement data-driven strategies for growth
