The Customer Service Representative will interact with customers by proactively addressing inquiries and resolving concerns. A successful Customer Service Representative is committed to Service, Efficiency and Safety.Duties/Responsibilities:Interacts with customers via telephone, email, or in person to provide support and information on products or services and serves as a liaison between customers and the companyCollects and enters orders for new or additional products or servicesForwards customer questions and concerns to the assigned specialist or other appropriate staffField customer questions and complaints; when the issue is beyond the representative’s knowledge, forwards to the assigned specialist or other appropriate staffEnsures that appropriate actions are taken to resolve customers problems and concernsMaintains customer accounts and records of customer interactions with details of inquiries, complaints, or commentsPerforms other related duties as assignedThe absence of specific statements of duties does not exclude those tasks from the position if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment of the position.Education and Experience:High school diploma or equivalent (required)Minimum two (2) years of customer service experienceExperience in high-volume phone call settings (preferred)Experience in the oil and propane industry (preferred)Skills/Abilities:Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skillsService-oriented and the ability to resolve customer grievancesProficient with computer skills and the ability to learn and use current and new softwareMust be proficient with the current Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to learn and utilize different softwarePhysical Requirements:The physical requirements described here are representative of those that must be met by the incumbent to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.Prolonged periods sitting at a desk, using a phone, and working on a computerMust be able to lift up to 50 pounds as needed in order to safely assist with duties around the plantMust pass pre-employment screening and background checkThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work that is expected to be performed.
