Allegheny Health Network is seeking candidates for a position at Allegheny General Hospital. The job is full time and involves rotating shifts, weekends, and holidays as per policy. The position is unionized.

The Allegheny General 11A Cardiac Telemetry Unit is a 24-bed unit with single occupancy rooms. It specializes in the complex care of cardiac patients, including advanced heart failure, pulmonary hypertension, LVAD, general cardiology, and electrophysiology patients. The unit holds accreditations for Advanced Heart Failure, LVAD, transplant, Pulmonary Hypertension, and Comprehensive Cardiac Center.

Allegheny General Hospital is a Level I Shock Trauma Center with five state-of-the-art ICUs and a state-of-the-art Cancer Center. It has over 550 beds. General Overview:

The role is responsible and accountable for a designated patient population for the purpose of providing care based upon the nursing process.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Demonstrates clinical assessment skills and care planning skills.
• Provides safe and effective care for the age population served according to regulatory requirements.
• Professionally directs and manages the activities of the patient care delivery by the team members.
• Collaborates with the multidisciplinary team for the plan of care from admission through discharge.
• Assesses learning needs of patient and family and provides education based on age, culture, and willingness to learn.

Qualifications:

• Current State of PA RN licensure OR Current multi-state licensure through the enhanced Nurse Licensure Compact (eNLC).
