Gastroenterology Registered Nurses (GI RNs) Needed

Schedule: 8-Hour Shifts | 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Requirements:

• Minimum of 2 years of recent Gastroenterology (GI) nursing experience
• Strong experience in pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative patient care

Responsibilities:

Pre-Operative Care

• Conduct patient intake and assessments
• Obtain and document vital signs
• Review medications and medical history
• Complete required documentation
• Assist patients with preparation for procedures, including dressing and restroom needs

Intra-Operative Care

• Administer IV medications, primarily Fentanyl and Versed (Midazolam)
• Administer additional medications as needed, including antiemetics and antibiotics
• Monitor patient status and provide procedural support

Post-Operative Care

• Monitor and assess patient recovery
• Document patient progress and outcomes
• Provide discharge education and instructions
• Ensure safe discharge and completion of all required documentation

This role requires clinicians who are comfortable managing patients throughout the entire procedural process and providing high-quality care in a fast-paced GI setting.
