About the Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer / MEP Project Manager to lead mechanical engineering design projects from concept through construction administration.

The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on MEP design experience , particularly in HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection , along with experience supporting healthcare, education, and government facilities .

This is a design-focused role with significant responsibility for project leadership, client relationships, technical quality, and team development.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical engineering design teams from project inception through construction administration
• Design and oversee HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems for commercial facilities
• Prepare and review construction documents, engineering reports, calculations, drawings, and specifications
• Conduct field investigations and provide construction-phase support
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring quality, schedule, and budget requirements are met
• Lead projects with construction costs exceeding $5 million
• Coordinate with architects, contractors, engineers, and other project stakeholders
• Serve as a primary client contact and build long-term professional relationships
• Mentor and support engineers and designers
• Ensure projects meet applicable codes, standards, and client requirements

Required Qualifications

✅ Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering
✅ Active Professional Engineer (PE) License - Required
✅ 8-10+ years of mechanical/MEP design experience
✅ Strong hands-on experience with HVAC, Plumbing, and Fire Protection design
✅ Experience designing MEP systems for healthcare, education, and government facilities
✅ Experience managing projects from conception through completion
✅ Experience with projects having $5M+ construction costs
✅ Strong knowledge of building construction and mechanical systems
✅ Proficiency with Revit MEP
✅ Experience preparing calculations, technical reports, construction documents, drawings, and specifications
✅ Excellent written and verbal communication skills

⭐ Important: This position requires significant MEP engineering design experience . Candidates whose backgrounds are primarily construction management without hands-on mechanical/MEP design experience will not be considered.
