Delivery Specialist

Compensation Pay Range $16.00 - $22.00 per hour. The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses and premiums that may be paid in specific circumstances (e.g., based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed). Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met. Job Overview The Delivery Specialist will maintain and operate store vehicles to deliver parts and/or products to professional customers in a safe and efficient manner. The role includes collecting money on C.O.D. deliveries, picking up customer returns, and providing basic customer service as needed. Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply. Essential Job Functions Operate company vehicles to deliver parts and products to customers safely and efficiently. Use delivery fleet management hand‑held devices to process deliveries, capture customer signatures, update vehicle mileage, and complete daily vehicle inspections. Keep vehicles clean, maintained, and complete daily inspections before operating. Secure delivery vehicles, keys, fuel/fleet credit cards, hand‑held devices, and collected monies at all times. Pick up customer returns (new, warranty, cores, etc.) and fill out driver return slip. Communicate any problems or special needs from customers to store management. Report vehicle maintenance needs, accidents, or damage to the store manager immediately. Ensure fuel tank is filled and lock and secure vehicle at the end of daily operations. Clock in/out according to company policy. Perform additional duties as assigned, including customer service, sweeping, general stocking and straightening stock, merchandising, running errands, handling core returns, checking in and putting up stock orders, and other tasks as directed. Occasionally assist customers, serve as a cashier, and/or help with merchandising tasks when business demands. Skills, Education, Knowledge, Experience, and Abilities Required Ability to quickly match alphanumeric sequences. Strong interpersonal communication skills. Ability to adapt quickly and effectively to changing delivery situations. Driving record that meets the company’s 14/18‑point system. Legally required state driver’s license and compliance with company driving eligibility requirements. Desired Familiarity with automotive parts. Ability to operate other light store equipment.
