Applied Ex Inc is looking for a driven and detail-oriented Excavation Estimator/Project Manager to join our team in Salt Lake City, UT. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in bidding, winning, and delivering excavation projects from start to finish. If you thrive in a fast-paced construction environment and love seeing projects come to life, we want to hear from you! Responsibilities:
- Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for excavation, grading, and earthwork projects
- Review project plans, specifications, and bid documents to develop detailed scopes of work
- Manage multiple excavation projects simultaneously from pre-construction through completion
- Coordinate with field crews, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery
- Conduct site visits and assessments to evaluate project conditions and requirements
- Track project budgets, schedules, and progress reports while communicating updates to stakeholders
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, general contractors, and vendors
- 3+ years of experience in excavation, earthwork, or heavy civil construction estimating and/or project management
- Strong understanding of excavation methods, grading, utilities, and site development
- Proficiency with estimating software and takeoff tools (e.g., HCSS, Bluebeam, or similar)
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans, blueprints, and specifications
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail
- Effective communicator with the ability to lead teams and manage client relationships
- Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites in and around Salt Lake City, UT
