BG Staffing is currently seeking a motivated, organized, and customer-focused Assistant Property Manager for a multifamily community in Northbrook, IL 60062. This is an excellent opportunity for a property management professional looking to grow their career while playing a vital role in the daily operations and success of a thriving apartment community.

As an Assistant Property Manager, you will work closely with the Property Manager to support leasing operations, resident relations, rent collection, administrative functions, and overall property performance. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, service-driven, and able to balance multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation & Benefits

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Property Manager with the day-to-day operations of the apartment community
• Support rent collection efforts and process resident payments accurately
• Follow up on delinquent accounts and maintain accurate resident records
• Assist with lease renewals, resident retention initiatives, and occupancy goals
• Provide exceptional customer service to current and prospective residents
• Respond to resident concerns and coordinate appropriate resolutions
• Maintain resident files and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures
• Prepare reports, correspondence, and other administrative documentation
• Assist with move-in and move-out procedures
• Coordinate with maintenance staff to ensure resident work orders are addressed promptly
• Support leasing activities when necessary, including tours and application processing
• Help ensure the property maintains a professional and welcoming atmosphere

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Assistant Property Manager, Leasing Consultant, Property Administrator, or related multifamily housing role preferred
• Strong customer service and resident relations skills
• Experience with rent collection and property management administrative functions is highly desirable
• Knowledge of property management software is a plus
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to prioritize tasks and effectively manage multiple responsibilities
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Professional demeanor and strong attention to detail
• Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
