CDL-A Driver Wanted – Join Our Team at AtlCartage Inc.!
AtlCartage Inc. is currently seeking a Professional CDL-A Driver to join our growing team! We’re looking for a reliable, safety-focused driver who takes pride in their work and delivers excellence on every trip.
Position Overview:
You will be responsible for safely operating a heavy commercial vehicle to transport goods across primarily local routes. This includes adhering to all traffic and safety regulations, maintaining accurate driving logs, performing pre-trip and post-trip inspections, securing cargo, and ensuring timely deliveries. You must be able to use smartphone applications to submit proof of delivery and communicate efficiently with dispatch.
Qualifications:
✅ Minimum of 2 years of CDL driving experience
✅ Clean MVR — no major violations (DWI, DUI, reckless endangerment, or license suspension) within the last 5 years
✅ Comfortable with both city and highway driving in mountainous regions
✅ Strong communication and time management skills
Responsibilities:
- Communicate and coordinate with dispatchers
- Follow all applicable traffic laws and DOT regulations
- Secure, arrange, and balance cargo properly
- Maintain accurate logs of working hours
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
- Report any defects, accidents, or violations promptly
- Ensure timely delivery of shipments
- Perform basic truck maintenance (refueling, cleaning, etc.)
- Interact with customers in a courteous and professional manner
- Verify load accuracy and record cargo deliveries
