One of our manufacturing client is looking for an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to support the safe and reliable operation of production equipment in Fort Wayne,IN location
Pay Rate : $30.00 – $33.00/hour
Shift: 2nd / 3rd Shift
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production machinery and industrial equipment.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to minimize equipment downtime.
Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical issues.
Inspect equipment to identify worn, damaged, or malfunctioning components.
Repair or replace bearings, belts, chains, gears, motors, pumps, valves, cylinders, and other mechanical components.
Read and interpret mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, schematics, and maintenance documentation.
Perform equipment adjustments, alignments, installations, and modifications as required.
Assist with equipment startups, shutdowns, and scheduled maintenance activities.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required; technical training or trade school preferred.
3+ years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
Working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Experience maintaining automated production equipment.
Knowledge of motors, conveyors, gearboxes, pumps, and industrial machinery.
Experience with welding, fabrication, or machining.
