Registered Nurse (RN) Med Surg/Post Op

Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical/Post Op - Nights $20,000 sign-on bonus eligibility Schedule: 3-12 hour shifts Shift times: 7 P - 7 A Job Location: In Person About the Unit 12-bed Medical/Surgical & Post-Op unit. Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:5-6. Patient population includes post-op spine, orthopedic, ENT, abdominal, thoracic, vascular, and urology cases, along with general medical patients. Close-knit, collaborative environment with strong nurse‑physician teamwork. Growing department with future expansion plans as surgical services continue to expand. Responsibilities Accurately performs patient assessments and identifies patient needs. Identifies and initiates appropriate nursing interventions. Provides care appropriate to condition and age of the patient. Performs timely and appropriate documentation relating to medical necessity in the medical record. Responsible for completion and revision of the Interdisciplinary Care Plan for each patient. Performs timely and accurate QI assessments. Current VA (or Multi-state) RN license. American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification. Experience in the clinical area preferred.
