Production Specialist / Sign Installer

Location: Waxahachie, TX 75165

Pay: $18.00–$24.00/hr. (DOE)
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM

Full-Time | On-Site

We are seeking a skilled and detailoriented Production Specialist / Sign Installer to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys handson work, takes pride in quality craftsmanship, and is experienced in producing and installing a wide range of signs and graphic products.

About the Role

The Production Specialist is responsible for the construction, assembly, and installation of signs of all types. This includes working with vinyl, wideformat prints, various substrates, laminators, saws, and other production equipment. This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to follow written instructions, and the capability to lift 50+ pounds.

Key ResponsibilitiesProduction & Assembly

• Assemble signs using cut vinyl, printed graphics, and a variety of substrates.
• Prepare substrates through cutting, painting, laminating, cleaning, and finishing.
• Mount and laminate graphics, including machine setup and operation.
• Weed vinyl using appropriate techniques based on image size and complexity.
• Operate saws, metal shears, laminators, and other production equipment.
• Maintain clean, organized workspaces and equipment (including routine maintenance).

Quality Assurance

• Follow Job Travelers accurately for layout, assembly, and finishing instructions.
• Conduct pre and postproduction inspections for defects (bubbles, ragged edges, loose seams, etc.).
• Proofread work to ensure accuracy and adherence to company standards.

Installation & Customer Support

• Perform sign installations as needed.
• Communicate professionally with customers and team members.
• Understand the ordering process well enough to assist with orders when required.

Additional Duties

• Operate a Xenatech engraver for tag production (training provided).
• Report inventory levels and assist with stocking materials.
• Participate in multiple types of projects across production.
• Unload and store raw materials.
• Maintain consistent production output.
• Perform minor repairs on equipment as needed.

Vehicle vinyl wrapping experience is a plus.

RequirementsEducation & Experience

• Experience in sign making or related production environment preferred.
• Ability to perform basic math (fractions, decimals, etc.).
• Ability to lift, push, and pull 50 pounds repeatedly.
• Must be able to work independently and follow detailed written instructions.

Other Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license and proof of insurability.
• Must pass preemployment background check and drug screening.
• Subject to random drug testing per company policy.
