Role Description The Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) is a full-time, on-site role based in Indianapolis, IN. This role provides direct patient care to individuals with terminal illness, focusing on symptom management, pain control, and palliative interventions in alignment with hospice standards of care. The RN conducts comprehensive assessments, develops and updates individualized care plans, administers medications and treatments, and monitors patient responses. The nurse collaborates closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, social workers, chaplains, home health aides, and other team members to coordinate care and support families through education, counseling, and advocacy. Daily responsibilities include documentation of clinical findings, communication with the interdisciplinary team, participation in case conferences, and ensuring that patient and family preferences are honored with dignity and respect.\ N
Qualifications

Strong clinical foundation in Nursing and Medicine relevant to hospice and end-of-life care.
\ N
Demonstrated experiencein Palliative Care, including pain and symptom management and holistic support.
\ N
Background in Home Careand Direct Patient Care, preferably in hospice or similar settings.
\ N
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana and BLS certification.
\ N
Ability to perform thorough assessments, develop care plans, and document accurately in clinical records.

Excellent communicationand interpersonal skills for collaborating with interdisciplinary teams and supporting families.
\ N
Capacity to work independently, manage time effectively, and respond to changing patient needs.
\ N
Experience with electronic health records and familiarity with hospice regulations and best practices.
\ N
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for potential patient home visits or community-based care.
\ N
Prior hospice, oncology, or home health nursing experience is highly beneficial.
