Description

American Traveler is hiring an RN for an Intermediate Care/Step Down unit requiring GA or compact RN license and at least 2 years of recent specialty experience.

Details

• Work in the Pulmonary Thoracic Intermediate Care/Step Down unit of a hospital
• Care for intermediate medical patients including high-risk respiratory, cardiac thoracic surgery, hepatobiliary surgery, and head/neck surgery cases
• Patient population includes those on RA to BIPAP or Optiflow respiratory support
• 12-hour night shifts, schedule varies 7P-7A
• 3 shifts per week
• No on-call responsibilities

Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications required
• NIHSS certification preferred
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience within the specialty

Additional Information

• Must work 2 of 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and 1 minor holiday (Friday after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, or New Year's Eve)
• Local candidates within 50 miles will not be considered
• Former permanent staff returning as non-local travelers must have a 2-year break in service
• RTO must be requested upfront prior to offer and cannot be requested afterward
