Project Surveyor - Part-Time, As-Needed

OVERVIEW

A Project Surveyor is responsible for the technical production of survey projects. The major objectives are the quality (accuracy, thoroughness, clarity and meets regulatory requirements) of work, meeting schedules, within budgets and responsive service to clients. Organize technical production, direct field work, checking work (quality control) and communicating with project manager. This position provides vital, flexible support to the Geomatics team. Operating on an "as needed" basis, this role requires a candidate who can step in seamlessly to complete project production and oversight. There are no guaranteed weekly hours, and the schedule is determined based on department needs and the employee's availability. During Your Work Day, You Will Be responsible for the technical and professional production of survey project(s). Work with these primary objectives: quality (accuracy, thoroughness, clarity and meets regulatory requirements) of work, meeting schedules, within budgets and responsive service to client. Organize technical production, direct field work, check work (quality control) and communicate with others. Coordinate the production to cover all details so that the quality is present, and budgets and schedules are met. What You’ll Need A bachelor’s degree in Surveying preferred and/or equivalent work experience. Delaware Professional Land Surveying License required. Minimum of 5 years of experience in Geomatics. Autocad Civil 3D experience preferred. Good technical skills. Behavioral traits of process oriented, steady, helpful, analytical, problem solver, methodical, consistent, detail oriented, precise, hates mistakes. Must be able to work and communicate with field crews and CAD technicians. Must have a valid driver's license, an acceptable motor vehicle record, a cleared criminal background check and drug test.
