Job Summary:
An Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse (RN) position is available in Bryan, Texas. This role involves providing acute patient care in a high-volume trauma setting, with patient assignments including trauma, stroke, chest pain, pediatric, and geriatric cases. Candidates are required to bring their RN license on the first day. The position requires working rotating shifts with a minimum of 36 hours per week.

Job Details:

• Location: Bryan, Texas
• Shift Hours: 12-hour shifts, starting between 11:00 AM and 1:00 PM, with varied schedules and every other weekend rotations.
• Schedule: Hybrid schedule with some self-scheduling and block scheduling to meet operational needs.
• Required Qualifications: Valid RN license, BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS certifications; at least 2 or more years of ER experience in a facility with similar patient volume, trauma level, and size; relevant coursework including BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS; experience working with high acuity trauma and emergency cases; proficient with EMRs such as PulseCheck or Picis.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with trauma patients, pediatric and geriatric populations, and familiarity with electronic fetal monitoring is beneficial.
• Responsibilities include patient triage, trauma care, operating monitors and equipment, assisting with procedures such as chest tubes and rapid transfusions, and providing fast-paced emergency care.
• Additional Information: The ER has a good team environment, shared governance structure, and active staff advocacy. Travelers may float within the ER and assist with various operational duties. Dispatch and transport of labs, imaging, and patients are in place, with staff responsible for troubleshooting advanced respiratory equipment.
• Float: Float rotation may be required.
