Our organization has a history of exceptional employee retention, with several clinical team members having been with the practice for more than 20 years.The ideal candidate will be clinically confident, dependable, flexible, and willing to work collaboratively with doctors, hygienists, assistants, and administrative team members to create an outstanding experience for every patient.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform expanded function dental assisting duties within the scope permitted by Pennsylvania lawPlace and finish restorative materials as permitted by EFDA certificationAssist doctors during restorative and other dental proceduresPrepare operatories, instruments, materials, and equipment for treatmentTake diagnostic dental radiographs as permittedMaintain accurate and complete clinical documentationReview and update patient medical historiesProvide patients with appropriate pre- and post-operative instructionsMaintain sterilization, infection control, and OSHA complianceTurn over and prepare treatment rooms to maintain efficient patient flowMonitor clinical supplies and assist with inventory managementWork collaboratively with doctors, hygienists, assistants, and administrative staffSupport the clinical team wherever needed to maintain an efficient and positive environmentQualificationsActive Pennsylvania Expanded Function Dental Assistant (EFDA) credentialDental radiology certification as required by PennsylvaniaCurrent CPR/BLS certificationPrevious dental assisting experience preferredStrong understanding of restorative procedures and clinical workflowsKnowledge of infection control and sterilization protocolsExcellent communication, organization, and patient service skillsDependable and adaptable with a strong work ethicTeam-first mentality and willingness to contribute throughout the practiceCommitment to delivering high-quality, compassionate patient careBenefits100% employer-paid individual health insuranceCompetitive compensation based on experienceQuarterly bonus opportunitiesSemi-annual bonus opportunitiesCompany-wide annual bonus programLong-term professional growth opportunitiesSupportive private practice environmentStable team culture with exceptional employee retentionAbout the AreaLocated northeast of Pittsburgh along the Allegheny River, Tarentum offers a welcoming community with convenient access to the greater Pittsburgh area.
