Description

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and check in patients in a professional and friendly manner.
• Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments.
• Answer and direct incoming phone calls.
• Verify insurance information and obtain necessary authorizations.
• Collect copayments, payments, and update patient records.
• Maintain accurate and confidential patient information in electronic medical records (EMR).
• Assist with patient registration, intake forms, and documentation.
• Coordinate communication between patients, providers, and clinical staff.
• Manage incoming and outgoing correspondence, including faxes and emails.
• Perform general administrative duties such as filing, scanning, and record maintenance.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in a medical office, healthcare, or customer service environment preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, insurance verification, and EMR systems is a plus.
• Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and standard office equipment.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Honolulu, HI.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $21.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
