Hotel Chief Engineer

Chief Engineer We're looking for a Chief Engineer to take full ownership of maintenance operations at our Ramada Costa Mesa / Newport Beach property. This is a hands-on leadership role you'll run the preventative maintenance program, manage the maintenance team, lead the safety committee, and keep the building in top condition. What You'll Do: Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and building systems regularly to catch and fix issues before they become problems Manage all building systems: HVAC, plumbing, electrical, pool/spa, fire/life safety Build and run the preventative maintenance program Hire, train, schedule, and supervise maintenance techs Manage outside contractors for specialized work Serve as Safety Committee Leader run safety trainings, maintain PPE, ensure OSHA compliance Develop and manage the maintenance budget Track parts/supplies inventory and handle procurement What We're Looking For: 35 years hotel or commercial building maintenance experience, at least 1 year in a lead/supervisor role Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and pool maintenance Strong communication skills can direct a team, coordinate vendors, and report to management clearly Physically able to stand/walk 8+ hours and lift up to 50 lbs Reliable and self-directed Nice to have: EPA 608 or HVAC credentials, CPO certification, Bilingual English/Spanish What We Offer: Medical, dental, vision, life, PTO, 401(k) with company match Hotel travel discounts across 30+ properties We promote from within many of our GMs started at property level Family-driven culture backed by a growing ownership group Compensation: $29.00 - $32.00 per hour We are an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability status, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.
