Senior AI Software Engineer Location: Dallas, Texas (preferred) or Atlanta, Georgia – hybrid working model acceptable. Overview CGI is growing rapidly and is looking for experienced Senior AI Software Engineers to join our Texas Business Unit. As part of a close‑knit team with global support, you will explore a wide range of industries, technologies, and geographies while enjoying a local operating approach. Key Responsibilities Collaborate with team leads and product owners to understand requirements, groom stories, and assist with design and implementation strategy. Execute a hands‑on technical role that requires expert level skills to implement features, troubleshoot issues, and define and apply best practices. Work collaboratively with engineers across various levels and skill sets to deliver high‑quality solutions. Required Qualifications Python & web frameworks – demonstrated expertise in Python and at least one major web framework. API development – hands‑on experience with RESTful APIs using FastAPI and GraphQL APIs using Strawberry. Streaming data platforms – experience with Kafka or Event Hubs to build real‑time pipelines. Database management – strong proficiency in designing, integrating, and managing multiple databases such as PostgreSQL and MongoDB. Big data & distributed computing – experience with Spark and Delta Lake for scalable data processing. Databricks – hands‑on experience with Databricks for data engineering and machine learning workflows. LLM APIs – experience with OpenAI, Llama, or other mainstream GenAI models. Cloud computing & Azure architecture – solid understanding of cloud concepts, scalability, and solution architecture, focused on Microsoft Azure. Containerization & orchestration – experience deploying and managing applications with Docker and Kubernetes. CI/CD pipelines – experience creating and managing pipelines using Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions. System design – proven experience designing and building mid‑scale applications with around 5k daily active users. Concurrency tools – experience handling high concurrency with multi‑process, multi‑threading, or actor model. Soft skills – excellent problem‑solving abilities, attention to detail, and strong communication skills. Desired Qualifications Model LLM interface – experience using the LangChain package to interact with GenAI model APIs. Full‑stack development – bonus experience with front‑end technologies such as JavaScript, React, or Next.js. Telecommunications domain knowledge – specific industry/domain knowledge is preferable. Compensation Estimated compensation range for this role in the U.S.: $88,200.00 – $173,500.00. Benefits Competitive compensation including profit participation program.
